(# 733)

Images Description Credits
The project was to design a Boston Conservatory (a college for the study of classical music or other arts). It contains a series of studios, classes, performance space, offices, dining area and dormitories. My proposal is divided into two parts one a performance space, dining area, music, theatrical and dance studio/classes with a set of dormitories. the other a set of dormitories, dining area and a performance area. one side is more of a public space, and the other a private area for the students.the building main objectives is the views the students get no matter what floor they are in. they are exposed to the outside and connected to each program that brings them together in the main dining area. this feature is implemented by the interlocking spaces that are created with it’s volume. The city of Boston is a city of no hierarchy only differentiation. The project operates in the same manner.
