The 4.5-acre project site provides 135 affordable housing units for families and seniors. With a total of two residential buildings plus a one-story leasing office/laundry facility, comprising approximately 147,700 GSF, residents can choose from a mix of one (1), two (2) and three (3) bedroom units. The multifamily apartment building consists of 89 units, and the senior apartment building contains 46 units.

HONORING THE PROJECT'S NAMESAKE, SAL GONZALEZ, SR.

The projectís name is a tribute to Sal Gonzalez, Sr. a farmworker and advocate of the United Farm Workers (UFW), supporting Cesar Chavez and the UFW social movement in 1962.  Gonzalez was former director of the Fresno Food Bank, and active member in the unionís strikes and walkouts that lead to a historic pact with Delano grape growers in 1970.
